Mawa laddu bhog from Shri Sanwaliya Seth Mandir is a divine offering known for its rich, creamy texture and exquisite taste. These laddus are made primarily from mawa, also known as khoya or evaporated milk solids, which are prepared by slowly simmering milk until it thickens and reduces to a solid consistency. The process of making mawa laddus begins with gently cooking the mawa with ghee (clarified butter) over a low flame to enhance its flavor and richness. To this base, finely chopped nuts such as almonds, cashews, and pistachios are added, along with powdered sugar and aromatic spices like cardamom. This combination is mixed thoroughly until it forms a smooth, pliable mixture.
The mawa mixture is then shaped into small, round laddus by hand, each one carefully crafted to maintain its shape and integrity. These laddus are traditionally adorned with a garnish of silver varq (edible silver leaf) or edible rose petals, adding to their visual appeal and auspiciousness.
